British woman ugly “Burger King”
Chief executive for the global chain Barnardo Hees was speaking to a group of students in the US when he said that women in the UK were unattractive and that British food was ‘terrible’.
He was referring to the time he spent studying at the University of Warwick for his MBA. The executive then referred to Chicago, the city in which he was speaking, saying that it was known for both tasty food and attractive women.
Hees, who was born in Brazil, has since issued an apology for the comments. Burger King said that the comments were meant to connect with his audience in a humorous manner and that Mr Hees was sorry for offending anyone.
The remark had come to light for the public after the student newspaper Chicago Maroon of the University of Chicago had printed it. It has since raised concerns among British chefs and female groups alike.
A boss at fast-food chain Burger King has landed himself in hot water after describing English women as ugly. Speaking to students in Chicago, Burger King chief executive Bernardo Hees went on to dismiss the quality of food in the UK as “terrible”.
The 40-year-old had been talking about time he spent studying at the University of Warwick when he is reported to have said: “The food is terrible and the women are not very attractive.”
He also said that his time in Britain had offered few distractions beyond work but he was later forced to issue an apology for any offence caused.
While we wouldn’t claim the UK has the world’s best cuisine, it’s worth remembering a Double Whopper contains 950 calories. As for defending English women, two words, Kelly Brook which you can only see on Zoo magazine if we are not wrong. Maybe for years same person was on same magazine which never bought again.
