Amanda Holden: ‘I’ll make Simon godfather so I don’t get the sack from BGT’

These are worrying times for talent show judges. The X Factor now features an almost entirely new panel and The Hoff is off Britain’s Got Talent.

Amanda Holden though, has a plan that will keep her spot safe – she’ll make Simon Cowell godfather to her baby girl.
The 40-year-old is currently three months pregnant and her due date looks likely to clash with the reality show’s early audition rounds.

And that’s where Amanda’s dastardly scheme comes in.

“Simon is the ultimate godfather. I’m going to make Simon godfather so I don’t get the sack from Britain’s Got Talent,” she joked to The Sun.

“I’ve been told my seat is safe but the dates may clash… They’ll work round me. What kind of man would he be to sack a pregnant woman? I could probably sue him, couldn’t I?”

She’s right about the ultimate godfather bit (imagine the birthday presents!) – as for what kind of man Simon is, well… the kind that drags Cheryl Cole all the way to America to seek fame and fortune, only to dump her two weeks later.

Let’s not forget, either, that Mr Hasselhoff has already been given the boot.

Maybe Amanda’s godfather plan will work but at the moment it seems nobody is safe.
